DoseFit Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DoseFit ("DoseFit," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you use the DoseFit mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
DoseFit is a consumer wellness and tracking tool designed to help users record GLP-1 medication schedules, doses, injection sites, side effects, weight, nutrition, hydration, and related wellness information. DoseFit is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, emergency services, or medication fulfillment. Unless we separately state otherwise in writing and enter into an applicable healthcare compliance arrangement, DoseFit is not a "covered entity" or "business associate" under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA"), and information you provide through the Services is generally not "protected health information" under HIPAA. However, the information may still be personal information, sensitive personal information, or consumer health data under applicable privacy laws, and we handle it as described in this Policy.
1. Where This Policy Applies
This Policy applies to:
- The DoseFit iOS and Android apps;
- DoseFit websites, download pages, support pages, and customer support channels;
- Account, subscription, notification, reminder, export, sync, and support features;
- Any educational, AI-powered, or automated guidance features that DoseFit may offer.
Third-party services, app stores, payment platforms, Apple Health, Health Connect, wearable platforms, or other services you choose to connect may be governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Contact Information
If you create an account, sign in, subscribe, or contact support, we may collect:
- Name, nickname, or display name;
- Email address or phone number;
- Apple, Google, or other third-party sign-in identifiers;
- User ID, device ID, account settings, and subscription status;
- Support messages and information you choose to provide when contacting us.
2.2 Health and Wellness Information You Choose to Provide
You may choose to enter, upload, or import information such as:
- GLP-1 medication records, including medication name, dose, date, time, injection site, dosing interval, and reminders;
- Weight, goal weight, body measurements, and progress history;
- Hydration, protein, calories, nutrition, exercise, sleep, mood, and lifestyle records;
- Side effects, symptoms, notes, custom tags, and subjective wellness observations;
- Photos, screenshots, documents, progress images, meal photos, or medication-related records;
- Other health, wellness, lifestyle, or goal information you choose to store in DoseFit.
This information may be considered sensitive personal information or consumer health data under certain laws. We collect it only when you provide it, import it, or enable a feature that uses it.
2.3 Apple Health, Health Connect, and Wearable Data
With your permission, DoseFit may read data from Apple Health, Health Connect, or similar health data sources when needed for user-facing features. Depending on the features you enable, this may include weight, body measurements, hydration, nutrition, activity, sleep, or related wellness data.
You can grant, deny, or revoke these permissions through your device settings or the relevant third-party platform. DoseFit does not read this data unless you authorize access. Unless a product feature clearly states otherwise and you authorize it, DoseFit does not write data back to Apple Health, Health Connect, or other health platforms.
2.4 Device, Log, and Usage Information
To operate, secure, and improve the Services, we may automatically collect:
- Device type, operating system, language, region, app version, and device settings;
- IP address, approximate location, network status, and timestamps;
- Crash logs, performance logs, diagnostics, and error reports;
- Feature usage events, screen views, clicks, subscription status, and reliability signals;
- Website cookies and similar technologies.
We aim to avoid sending identifiable health entries to general analytics, advertising attribution, or performance tools. Product analytics should be configured to use non-health events, de-identified data, or aggregated data whenever reasonably possible.
2.5 De-identified, Anonymous, or Aggregated Data
We may create de-identified, anonymous, or aggregated data from information we collect. We may use this data to improve the product, monitor reliability, understand usage trends, conduct research, support security, and plan business operations. We do not attempt to re-identify data that we maintain as de-identified, anonymous, or aggregated.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide DoseFit's core tracking, reminder, charting, trend, export, and sync features;
- Help you record GLP-1 medication schedules, injection history, dose history, side effects, and wellness progress;
- Manage login, accounts, subscription status, entitlements, and customer support;
- Import and display Apple Health, Health Connect, or wearable data when you authorize access;
- Send medication reminders, product notifications, service messages, and transactional communications;
- Improve product experience, reliability, security, and content quality;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
- Create and use de-identified or aggregated insights where permitted by law.
If DoseFit offers AI-powered or automated educational features, those features are for general informational and organizational purposes only. AI-generated or automated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your individual circumstances and should not be relied on as medical advice.
4. How We Disclose Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use identifiable health data for targeted advertising. We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: cloud hosting, database, authentication, crash reporting, subscription management, customer support, email delivery, analytics, security, and fraud prevention vendors;
- App stores and payment platforms: Apple App Store, Google Play, or other platforms for purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and entitlement verification;
- Third parties you authorize: Apple Health, Health Connect, wearable platforms, export destinations, or other services you choose to connect;
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with laws, court orders, subpoenas, regulatory requests, or to protect rights, safety, security, users, the public, or our Services;
- Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets;
- De-identified or aggregated data: for research, product improvement, trend reports, and business purposes where the data does not reasonably identify you.
Before publication, list the vendors DoseFit actually uses. Possible examples include Apple iCloud, Google Firebase, Supabase, RevenueCat, Sentry or Crashlytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, Zendesk, or comparable providers.
5. Health Data Privacy
For purposes of this Policy, health data includes information you enter, upload, or authorize DoseFit to import about GLP-1 medication use, dose history, injection sites, side effects, symptoms, weight, nutrition, hydration, exercise, sleep, mood, goals, notes, photos, and related wellness information.
We use health data primarily to:
- Provide tracking, reminders, charts, exports, and personal insights;
- Display individual trends and summaries to you;
- Connect to Apple Health, Health Connect, or other authorized platforms when you enable those features;
- Provide support, security, backup, sync, and troubleshooting;
- Improve DoseFit using de-identified or aggregated data.
We do not sell identifiable health data. We do not use identifiable health data for targeted advertising. We do not send your detailed health entries, such as dose logs, injection notes, side effect notes, weight entries, or free-text health notes, to advertising networks.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Depending on the platform and features you use, DoseFit data may be stored:
- Locally on your device;
- In your Apple iCloud or other platform-provided private cloud storage;
- In cloud databases or storage services used by DoseFit;
- In app store, subscription management, customer support, diagnostic, or security systems.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate business purposes. When you delete your account or data, we will delete or de-identify relevant information within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention, legal requirements, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and data that has already been de-identified or aggregated.
7. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access personal information we process about you;
- Export your data;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your account or specific data;
- Withdraw consent;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Opt out of certain analytics, marketing, sensitive data processing, targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or automated decision-making where applicable;
- Appeal a denied privacy request where required by law.
You can manage many choices in the app, such as exporting data, deleting data, disabling health platform connections, turning off notifications, or adjusting privacy settings. You may also contact us at privacy@dosefit.life. To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
8. Cookies, Analytics, and Marketing
DoseFit websites may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, analyze traffic, improve content, and measure product performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
If we send marketing emails, you may unsubscribe using the instructions in the email. We may still send service, transaction, security, and legal notices.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, such as access controls, encryption in transit, vendor review, permission minimization, logging, and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or lost without authorization.
10. Children's Privacy
DoseFit is not intended for children under 13, or a higher minimum age if required in your location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age threshold. If we learn that we collected such information, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact privacy@dosefit.life.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored or processed in the United States or other locations where DoseFit or its service providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards, such as data processing agreements or standard contractual clauses.
12. U.S. State Privacy Rights
If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Nevada, or another jurisdiction with consumer privacy laws, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, port, opt out of sale or sharing, opt out of targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, exercise consumer health data rights, or appeal a decision.
DoseFit does not sell personal information and does not use identifiable health data for targeted advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices.
13. Consumer Health Data Rights
Under certain consumer health data laws, you may have the right to know what consumer health data we collect, the sources of that data, why we use it, with whom we disclose it, and to request access, deletion, or withdrawal of consent.
DoseFit consumer health data may include medication records, dose history, injection records, side effects, symptoms, weight, nutrition, hydration, activity, sleep, wellness goals, notes, and related health information. We process this data to provide the Services, maintain security, comply with law, honor your authorizations, and create de-identified or aggregated insights. You may submit requests at privacy@dosefit.life.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app or on our website. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required, such as by in-app notice, email, or another reasonable method. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Policy takes effect means the updated Policy applies to your continued use.
